Incredible flavours in a simple and traditional environment. The steak is superb and cooked without fuss. The meat requires no sauce, as it is quite brilliant. Loved the soup and the pate was delicious. Homemade apricot sponge bake was rounded off with a simple and tasty coffee. Lovely wines too.The family will remember the afternoon for a very long time. A special memory indeed. Many thanks.

Probably the best experience we’ve had in France. The food was amazing - simple, no fuss, all fresh. The servers chat to you and are hilarious. We had three hours dining outside - from sunset till the pitch black night. It was just perfect.

A cousin of my grandmothers restaurant, we would take a short walk down to the property for a fantastic dinner in the courtyard. It's a true gem and worth a visit if you're in the area. Only a 15min drive from Domme.

We entered this six-table, family run auberge, obviously the only out of town guests. We were greeted formally and given our menus. Starting with aperitifs of delicious homemade Vin de Noix (walnut) and Vin de Peche (peach) earned us nods of approval from the other tables. The ultra-fresh, hearty food just kept coming and everything we had was outstanding. You will not go home hungry. On top of that, it is an amazing value. The experience reminded me of eating at my (farmer’s wife) grandmother’s house. The proprietress told us everyone tells her that. In the end, this was one of our warmest and most welcoming experiences we’ve had in France and one we will never forget! Merci encore Mme.Borde et famille!

Simply fantastic. As described by others, this is a wonderful, traditional, family run restaurant serving wholesome fresh food cooked superbly in an intimate setting. On a wet day we were warmly welcomed and spent 2 hours enjoying lunch of vegetable soup; foie gras; perfectly cooked steaks & duck, plus delicious desert and local wine. No more than 15 seated in the restaurant and the chef even came out to check that our meals were fine. This was a classic French dining experience and to be highly recommended.

One of our favourite restaurants in France. Everything fresh from their farm, perfectly cooked, plenty of it, just a step up from the usual restaurants in the area. You really need to book as they have limited seating, but you will not be disappointed, the whole experience is not to be missed. We used to live just down the hill from here, and they managed to squeeze 4 of us in for Saturday lunch and everything was as perfect as ever, thank you. Also, you must buy some of their beef pate, and don't skip this course on the menu, delicious.
